This year the Durban Business Fair celebrates its twenty year anniversary, a milestone for the city and its business community. The Fair started off as the SMME Fair in 1998.

Durban Business Fair – 20 Years
The fair which will take place from September 18 to 24 at the ICC and Durban Exhibition Centre, intends to equip business people with the appropriate skills to grow and sustain their businesses, through networking with various business sectors and potential buyers.

The exhibition will be headlined by influential business people who will share their expertise on business development and the opportunities available for emerging businesses to tap into the mainstream economy.

Business Indaba and workshops will take place in the conference Centre while exhibitors at the Business Exhibition will be able to gain invaluable exposure and potential business opportunities.
There will also be a Youth Connect lead by Nonzamo Mbatha and a Street Market where vendors can showcase their products; ranging from food to crafters, home décor and vintage clothing. The Street Market will take place from 21-24 Sep –Walnut Street between the Durban Exhibition Centre (DEC) and Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (ICC).
Women Economic Empowerment
The conference will focus on raising the profile of women in business, creating opportunities and facing challenges, providing information on business support, networking, and finance sharing of experiences to aspire and celebrate the success of women.
Durban Fashion Fair
One of the Highlights of the Durban Business Fair is the Durban Fashion Fair – a four-day event that will feature exciting activities like empowerment seminars. There will be a panel discussion on Friday, September 21 where top panelists within the fashion industry will discuss on various topics relating to the “Business of Fashion” to “Building a brand in the fashion industry” hosted by TV & Radio personality, Anele Mdoda.
